Your first exchange
- Choose a character and read the introduction.
- Give a small amount of context: where you are, what is happening, or what you want to discuss.
- Say how you want the exchange to sound: brief dialogue, relaxed conversation, or narrated fiction.
- Respond to one detail in the reply so the scene has a clear next step.
Try: We're choosing a film for tonight. Ask me about two genres, then suggest a fictional movie premise we can discuss.
Adjust the reply style
For shorter responses, ask for two sentences and one question. For longer fiction, ask for a paragraph of setting followed by dialogue. These are directions, not fixed output-length guarantees. If a response misses your intent, rephrase the immediate request before changing the whole character premise.
Text, voice, and pictures
Use the media controls shown in the conversation for supported features. Asking a character about a picture is not the same as confirming an image-generation action. Check whether the next action spends tokens before continuing.
Do not enter passwords or payment details into a character conversation. Account and billing questions belong with support, not with the fictional character.
